Plenty of consulting firms (mainly the big ones) and procurement tech companies (&#8222;Procurement is just tech&#8220;) began to tell or persuade experienced procurement leaders (fighting challenges) about what to expect from the next 12 months. <span class=\"--l sentence_highlight\">Okay, such predictions also have their raison d&#8217;\u00eatre and may give some people guidance, but they are mostly just (deleted for legal reasons). I have been very critical of these recurring predictions about \u201ctrends\u201d for years.\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"--l sentence_highlight\">Why?<\/span><span class=\"--r sentence_highlight\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"break-words tvm-parent-container\"><span dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udccc<\/span><\/span>they look the same every year; only the ranking changes yearly<\/span><span class=\"--r sentence_highlight\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"break-words tvm-parent-container\"><span dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udccc<\/span><\/span>they rarely match the real challenges and pain points of the majority<\/span><span class=\"--r sentence_highlight\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l sentence_highlight\"><span class=\"break-words tvm-parent-container\"><span dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udccc<\/span><\/span>they often represent the wishful thinking of those who want to earn money <\/span><span class=\"--r sentence_highlight\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"--l --r sentence_highlight\">There is no trend or trends. <\/span><span class=\"--l --r sentence_highlight\">It&#8217;s about further development, strengthening, and taking the right and most effective measures to respond to market developments and challenges. <\/span><span class=\"--l sentence_highlight\">I read one just yesterday: it was all about Digital and KI. There were no words about economic or geopolitical challenges, market changes, or industry transformation.
